PANABO CITY — Davao del Norte State College’s Incident Management Team was recognized by the Office of Civil Defense Regional Office XI during the National Disaster Resilience Month (NDRM) 2026 Culminating Activity on July 29, 2026, at the SMX Convention Center, Lanang, Davao City.
The recognition was conferred pursuant to Republic Act No. 10121, otherwise known as the Philippine Disaster Risk Reduction and Management Act of 2010, in celebration of National Disaster Resilience Month.
DNSC received the distinction after securing Second Place in the 2026 National Disaster Resilience Month Trivia Quiz, held on July 9, 2026, in the City of Mati, Davao Oriental. The competition gathered participating institutions and government agencies across the region to assess their knowledge and understanding of disaster risk reduction and management (DRRM) principles, policies, and practices.
Representing the College were Mark Anthony G. Librea, Joan Beverly G. Navarrete, Anylin P. Sanchez, Manilyn E. Laya-og, and April A. Carbonilla.
For their outstanding performance, the DNSC Incident Management Team received a Plaque of Recognition, Certificate of Recognition, and a ₱8,000 cash incentive.
