PANABO CITY – Davao del Norte State College (DNSC) carried out a five-day self-survey visit from April 13 to 17, 2026, for its Bachelor of Science in Agro-Forestry and Master in Information Technology programs, as part of its preparations for the upcoming first survey visit by the Accrediting Agency of Chartered Colleges and Universities in the Philippines (AACCUP), Inc.
The activity assessed the readiness of both programs by reviewing documents and evaluating compliance with accreditation standards. It opened with a meeting that provided an overview of the visit and introduced the internal auditors who facilitated the process. This was followed by an online evaluation of documents across key areas.
The self-survey covered ten areas for accreditation, namely: Vision, Mission, Goals, and Objectives (VMGO); Faculty; Curriculum and Instruction; Support to Students; Research; Extension and Community Involvement; Library; Physical Plant and Facilities; Laboratories; and Administration.
Through the initiative, DNSC sought to identify strengths and areas for improvement to ensure that all requirements are met ahead of the formal external evaluation.
During the exit conference, Director for Quality Assurance Division, Dr. Ma. Melanie N. Edig, emphasized the importance of refining institutional outputs.
“Your consolidated impressions are invaluable, and I sincerely hope that all recommendations be addressed accordingly to further enhance the quality, packaging, and presentation of our documents in preparation for the actual visit on May 18 – 22,” Dr. Edig said.
