PANABO CITY – The Philippine Society of Information Technology Students (PSITS) XI, an organization of students from computer-related programs in the region, mounted the Annual Festival of Talents, which lasted from February to April 2023.
The festival included musical and dance competitions, sports and board games, mind games, and Mr. and Ms. PSITS XI. 27 higher education institutions with information technology education programs went head-to-head across three different venues. The Mapua Malayan Colleges Mindanao and Mindanao Kokusai Daigaku hosted the first part of the festival, while the closing activities were held at Davao del Norte State College.
DNSC was declared as overall champion, winning first place in basketball men, volleyball men, volleyball women, badminton men singles, badminton women singles, chess, Mobile Legends Bang Bang e-sport, Mr. PSITS XI, and Ms. PSITS XI. The students won second place in badminton mixed doubles, Rubik’s cube, darts men, word factory, DOTA2 e-sports, Call of Duty mobile e-sports, and cheer dance. DNSC was declared third best in basketball women, darts women, and modern dance.
The theme of the event was, “Connecting IT Students across Davao Region”. The festival provides a platform where students can learn from each other and unleash their full potential by exposing them to competitions and conventions.
