PANABO CITY – Davao del Norte State College (DNSC) commenced its Accreditation Self-Survey Visit on April 7, 2025, in preparation for upcoming evaluations by the Accrediting Agency of Chartered Colleges and Universities in the Philippines, Inc. (AACCUP). The activity, which will run until April 11, covers eight academic programs across varying accreditation levels.
The programs undergoing evaluation include Pre-Survey Visits for the Bachelor of Science in Agroforestry and Master in Information Technology; Level II Visits for Master of Arts in Basic Education, Master in Fisheries Management, Master of Science in Marine Biodiversity, and Master of Science Teaching; Level III for Bachelor of Public Administration; and Level IV for the Bachelor of Technology and Livelihood Education.
“This Self-Survey Visit is a self-directed evaluation that allows us to take a step back and critically assess our accomplishments, strengths, and areas for improvement across these programs,” said Ma. Melanie N. Edig, Director for Quality Assurance.
A total of 30 College Internal Accreditors (CIAs), all trained under AACCUP standards, with several already serving as external accreditors, are participating in the activity. They will conduct a thorough review of program documents and evidence uploaded to the AKRED System, ensuring alignment with AACCUP’s benchmark statements.
“Ultimately, this Self-Survey Visit is an opportunity for us to not only demonstrate compliance with AACCUP standards but also reflect our institution’s unique identity, values, and aspirations,” Dir. Edig added.
