PANABO CITY – The Job Placement Office and Alumni Affairs Office of Davao del Norte State College (DNSC) catered to 304 job seekers during the two-day Annual Career Preparedness Talk and Job Fair. The event, held on June 19-20, 2024, was conducted in partnership with the Department of Labor and Employment (DOLE) and the Panabo City Public Employment Service Office (PESO).
On the first day, Keir Jay S. Balingan, Labor and Employment Officer I, conducted the Pre-Employment Seminar for Local Applicants (PESLA) . This was followed by a discussion on the Anti-Illegal Recruitment Campaign (AIR) by Maia Nneka L. Piñol-Tubil, Labor and Employment Officer III. Additionally, Jennylyn M. Rosalinda, the Employment Focal Person from the DOLE Davao del Norte Field Office, provided insights on Labor Education for Graduating Students (LEGS). The participants were mostly members of the DNSC Graduating Class of 2024.
Day two featured a recruitment activity with invited companies, resulting in three job seekers being hired on the spot. The PAG-IBIG Fund (Home Development Mutual Fund) and the Social Security System (SSS) also set up booths, allowing participants to apply for membership or process requests. The job fair aimed to assist the DNSC community, particularly graduating students, in transitioning from academia to the workforce.
