PANABO CITY – Davao del Norte State College (DNSC) participated in the two-day virtual Summit on the New Government Procurement Act or R.A. No. 12009 and its Implementing Rules and Regulations, organized by the Philippine Institute of Certified Public Accountants (PICPA) – Northern Mindanao Region.
Held via Zoom on June 17–18, 2025, the summit featured procurement experts Antonio M. Faunillan, Jr. and Paul A. Abarca, who provided in-depth discussions on the key provisions, updates, and practical applications of R.A. No. 12009 and its IRR. The first day focused on the law’s reforms aimed at modernizing and streamlining procurement processes, while the second day offered a detailed walkthrough of the various modes of procurement.
A total of 32 DNSC personnel joined the training, including members of the Bids and Awards Committee (BAC), Technical Working Group (TWG), BAC Secretariat, as well as staff from the finance and administrative offices and identified end-users involved in procurement.
This participation forms part of DNSC’s continuing capacity-building efforts to align institutional practices with evolving national procurement policies.
