DNSC psychologists, psychometricians

PANABO CITY – Psychologists, psychometricians, and mental health professionals from Davao del Norte State College participated in the Psychological Association of the Philippines (PAP) Convention 2026, held on September 24–26, at the SMX Convention Center in Davao City.

Anchored on the theme “Elevating Psychological Practice: Professional Development for a Changing World”, the three-day convention attracted psychology and mental health practitioners from schools, clinics, industry to update their knowledge, competencies, and practices in response to emerging developments in the field.

Representing DNSC were Joan Beverly G. Navarrete, Caressha Faye A. Bernaldez, Sharmaine P. Nogan-Diamola, Syndell B. Palle, Czarina Trixia S. Gianga, Ester P. Generale-Saragena, and Jeruel H. Luminarias.

The convention featured speakers and experts in psychology and related disciplines, including Professor Simon Crowe, President of the Asia Pacific Psychology Alliance, internationally respected neuroscientist and clinical neuropsychologist from La Trobe University in Melbourne.

Also featured was Professor Andik Matulessy, President of the ASEAN Regional Union of Psychological Societies for 2025–2027 and current President of the Himpunan Psikologi Indonesia (HIMPSI), the Indonesian Psychological Association.

For the DNSC delegates, participation in the national convention contributes to their continuing professional development and supports the College’s efforts to strengthen psychological and mental health services within the academic community.
