PANABO CITY – The Professional Regulation Commission – Board of Fisheries (PRC-BOF) conducted a virtual inspection of the Bachelor of Science in Fisheries and Aquatic Sciences on May 14, 2024. The activity was in line with the board’s regulatory responsibilities and was aimed at providing recommendations for improving the program’s implementation.

The team of inspectors included Hon. Carlos C. Baylon, Hon. Gerald F. Quinitio, and Hon. Joebert D. Toledo. Joining them virtually was PRC XI representative, Mr. Tomasito M. Demegillo Jr.

The DNSC Team was comprised of Dr. Girley S. Gumanao (Vice President for Academic Affairs), Dr. Rosie Lynn P. Tejada (Institute of Aquatic and Applied Sciences Dean), Mr. Lord Martino S. Mondigo (Fisheries Program Chairperson), along with BSFAS teaching and non-teaching personnel.

Several positive observations were provided, such as the commendation on the youthful and dynamic faculty members who are heavily involved in teaching, research, and extension activities and the modern infrastructure and facilities of the college.

Additionally, the institution demonstrated notable success in the Licensure Examination for Fisheries Professionals by consistently exceeding the national passing percentage over the past three years. The college committed to adhere to the board’s recommendations.
