
PANABO CITY — Ralph Moses L. Padilla, a Bachelor of Secondary Education major in Mathematics student from Davao del Norte State College (DNSC), has qualified for the International Round of the 2025 World Young Mathematicians Olympiad (WYMO) after passing the national selection stage.
Organized by the Organizing Center for STEM Olympiad (OCSO), WYMO is a prestigious global competition that gathers top problem-solvers from around the world. The national round, conducted online on May 18, 2025, featured students across various divisions. Ralph competed in Category D, reserved for college-level participants, and stood out as the top qualifier and the only Filipino to make it to the international stage.
He is now set to represent the Philippines in the International Round of WYMO 2025, to be held on-site in Bali, Indonesia, from August 7 to 10, 2025. The competition will challenge participants through complex mathematical problems designed to test their creativity, logical reasoning, and analytical skills.
