Davao del Norte State College is Hiring!

PANABO CITY – Davao del Norte State College participated in the 2nd Quarter Nationwide Simultaneous Earthquake Drill (NSED) on June 18, 2026.

Spearheaded by the Office of Civil Defense (OCD), the drill simulated a magnitude 6.8 earthquake affecting the region. Following the scenario, the College’s Emergency Operations Center (EOC) immediately initiated evacuation and assessment procedures, activating the Incident Management Team (IMT) and Emergency Response Team (ERT) to coordinate response operations across the campus.

Students, faculty members, staff, and other stakeholders promptly carried out the “Duck, Cover, and Hold” protocol before proceeding to designated evacuation areas. Response teams then conducted search, rescue, and assessment activities in accordance with established emergency procedures.

As part of the simulation, six injuries were reported and attended to by emergency responders. Appropriate first-aid and response measures were demonstrated to assess the readiness of personnel and emergency units in handling potential casualties during an actual earthquake event.

The drill concluded with all participants safely evacuated, accounted for, and assessed, highlighting the effectiveness of the College’s emergency response mechanisms and coordination efforts. The drill execution was observed by the City Disaster Risk Reduction and Management Office and Bureau of Fire – Panabo City.
