PANABO CITY – Davao del Norte State College (DNSC) honored its topnotchers in the March 2025 Licensure Examination for Professional Teachers (LEPT) with an awarding of a ₱100,000 check on June 19, 2025.
Jestonie Ligutan Bapilar and Mark Montajes Padilla, both graduates of the Bachelor of Secondary Education major in Science program, secured the Top 5 spot nationwide after earning a 93% rating in the examination.
The brief turnover activity was attended by DNSC President Joy M. Sorrosa and Institute of Teacher Education (ITEd) Dean Arnold M. Duping, who personally handed over the incentive to the two honorees as a testament to the college’s commitment to academic excellence.
In her congratulatory message, Dr. Sorrosa expressed her pride and hope for the future educators. She encouraged them to carry the name of DNSC along with the values they learned from the institution, and to let their achievements become not just personal milestones, but beacons that will make a difference in the lives of the students they will serve.
The financial incentive, part of the college’s support for high-performing licensure examinees, is aimed at encouraging future teachers to strive for excellence and become leaders in the field of education. The two topnotchers thanked the institution, their mentors, and families for the support that propelled them to success.
