PANABO CITY – Davao del Norte State College commemorated its 28th Charter Day by lining up activities for students, employees, alumni, and guests to enjoy on February 13 – 15, 2023. During the opening program, DNSC welcomed the National Economic and Development Authority Region XI Director, Maria Lourdes D. Lim, CESO II, as its keynote speaker.

RD Lim highlighted that DNSC has, “greatly contributed to eradicating poverty and attain the country’s long-term vision, the Ambisyon Natin 2040, and in attaining a matatag, maginhawa at panatag na buhay para sa lahat ng Pilipino.” She further discussed that DNSC’s graduates were able to take advantage of the expanding employment opportunities for them as a result of the effective development strategies within the region and a stronger public higher education system.

She commended DNSC’s readiness in implementing reforms that accommodate the demands of the Fourth Industrial Revolution and ensure the production of a future-ready human resource. Her speech was well-received by the DNSC community. Dr. Joy M. Sorrosa awarded RD Lim a plaque of appreciation for accepting the College’s invitation and for her guidance to the college as a member of its Board of Trustees. The opening program was held at the DNSC Sports Complex.
