PANABO CITY – Davao del Norte State College (DNSC) hosted the Nueva Ecija University of Science and Technology (NEUST) for a benchmarking visit on April 5, 2024, at the DNSC Gender and Development (GAD) conference room.

The delegation from NEUST, headed by Vice President for Research, Extension, and Training Rachael R. Moralde, was particularly interested in the College’s initiatives on the promotion of Halal products for Muslim students, food innovation and Halal food production, gender sensitivity, and other Halal-related approaches and practices. It is noteworthy that one of the research centers in the College is the Halal Industry Research and Training Center.

The guests were greeted by Vice President for Research, Extension, and Production Eliseo F. Huesca Jr., along with Director for Administrative Services Leo D. Rayon Jr., and Director for Planning and Resource Management Charlo Bianci M. Guray. This team had previously represented DNSC at the International Institute for Halal Research and Training (INHART), International Islamic University Malaysia, where they received training in Halal establishment assessment and accreditation.
