
PANABO CITY – Davao del Norte State College (DNSC) emerged as the champion of the Philippine Society of Information Technology Students (PSITS) Region XI Festival of Talents 2025, held on weekends from January to March at the University of the Immaculate Conception (UIC). This is the institution’s fifth victory, having previously dominated the festival in 2019, 2022, 2023, and 2024.
PSITS XI is an organization of students under IT education in the region. DNSC Institute of Computing Dean Mark Van M. Buladaco lauded the achievement, stating, “I am immensely proud of the DNSC participants’ performance at the PSITS Festival of Talents 2025. Your hard work and unwavering dedication have culminated in a resounding victory, securing the overall championship once again.”
DNSC secured 11 gold medals in the following categories: Men’s Volleyball, Jingle Songwriting Competition, Darts Doubles (Women), UNO, Chess, Nonograms, Sudoku, Digital Poster, Basketball Women’s 3-on-3, MLBB Magic Chess, and Vocal Duet. Their silver medals came from participation in Cosplay, DOTA 2, Darts Doubles (Mixed), Call of Duty Mobile (CODM), Darts Singles (Women’s), Folk Dance, Sack Race, Music Video Spoof, TikTok Competition, Women’s Volleyball, PPOP Dance Competition, Membership Award (AY 24-25), Badminton Mixed Doubles, and Badminton Men’s Singles.
Nine bronze medals were awarded to DNSC participants in Dinosaur Game, Badminton Women’s Singles, On-the-Spot Photography, Spoken Poetry, Rubik’s Cube, Vocal Solo, Word Factory, Movie Trailer Spoof, and Short Film Original Soundtrack.
This winning streak spotlighted DNSC’s commitment to holistic student development. Excelling in both individual and team events across various disciplines, DNSC students demonstrated adaptability, resilience, and excellence.
