PANABO CITY – The Philippine Association of Campus Student Advisers, Inc. (PACSA) awarded second place for Best Research Presentation to Rhona Lee G. Jagmoc, Davao del Norte State College’s representative and author-presenter of the research “Learning Strategies and Student Engagement as Predictors of Knowledge Retention in Trigonometry”.
The convention took place from November 14 to 16, 2024, at Camp Benjamin, Alfonso, Cavite. Accompanying Jagmoc was DNSC Society of Teacher Education adviser, Mr. Nolie Jr. C. Guadalquiver. The winning research team also included Mariel Angeline L. Colinares, Claire Zandra L. Magalzo, Ian Joel M. Vertudes, and Eden Grace A. Yu, with their adviser, Mr. Ellvan M. Campos.
“Besides gaining new knowledge about leadership, meeting new friends with similar advocacies and goals was one of my biggest takeaways from the event,” Jagmoc shared her impression of the convention.
The event’s theme was “Leading by Example: Adaptability in the Midst of Challenges, Yearning for Growth, Advocating for What is Right, and Guiding with Compassion”. Adviser Guadalquiver stated, “This convention provided a platform for me to share the best practices of DNSC’s student organizations while engaging in meaningful discussions and learning from fellow educators and student leaders nationwide.”
