Each team may register a maximum of twenty-four (24) players, composed of:

• Maximum of twelve (12) male players
• Maximum of twelve (12) female players

Only players included in the official team roster shall be allowed to participate.

A team may have fewer than eighteen players, provided it has enough eligible players to participate in all required events.

Each team shall have the freedom to determine which registered players will participate first in each event.

Teams are not required to use the same players throughout the entire competition.

The Team Captain or designated Team Manager shall decide:

• Who will participate in each event;
• Who will play first;
• When players will be rotated;
• Whether a player will participate again in succeeding matches; and
• Whether a change in player assignment is necessary.

Teams may field different players against different opposing teams.

A player who participated in an earlier match may participate again in another scheduled match or event.

A player may participate in more than one event, provided that the player is officially registered and physically capable of competing.

Teams are strongly encouraged to rotate their players so that as many of the 24 registered players as possible are given an opportunity to participate.

While teams are allowed to field their strongest players, the Open Play format emphasizes both participation and competition. Team Captains are therefore encouraged to balance competitive strategy with opportunities for other team members to play.

Teams may change or swap their designated players before the start of each scheduled match.

The player representing the team in Men's Singles against Team 2 does not necessarily have to be the same player who will compete in Men's Singles against Team 3 or Team 4.

The same principle shall apply to Women's Singles, Men's Doubles, Women's Doubles, and Mixed Doubles.

Doubles partners may also be changed from one match to another.

Once a particular match has officially started, the participating player or pair shall generally finish the match.

Substitution during an ongoing match shall only be permitted in cases of injury, illness, medical necessity, or other circumstances approved by the Tournament Committee.

Any substitute must come from the team's official roster.

No unregistered player shall be permitted to participate as a substitute.

• There shall be no permanent starting lineup required.
• Teams may freely rotate players between scheduled matches.
• Different players may represent the team against different opponents.
• Players may participate in multiple events.
• Players who have already played may be used again.
• Captains may determine their lineup according to team strategy.
• Whenever practical, captains are encouraged to give playing opportunities to players who have not yet participated.

Each game shall normally be played to 11 points.

A player or pair must win by two (2) points.

Standard pickleball rules governing the following shall apply:

• Service
• Service sequence
• Two-bounce rule
• Non-volley zone or kitchen
• Faults
• Line calls
• Court positioning

The Tournament Committee may impose an appropriate time limit or modified scoring format when necessary because of court availability or scheduling constraints.

Ensure that all participating players are included in the official roster.

Determine the players assigned to each event.

Submit or announce the team's player assignments as required by the Tournament Committee.

Manage player rotation and substitutions.

Ensure that players are ready when called.

Encourage participation among team members.

Maintain discipline and sportsmanship within the team.
