PANABO CITY – College President Joy M. Sorrosa, Board Secretary Jeremy B. Barnido, and Planning Officer III Joshua P. Elardo were among the leaders who graduated from the Commission on Higher Education – Global Academic Leadership Program (CHED-GALP) at the Asian Institute of Management (AIM), Makati, on November 29, 2023.

The CHED-AIM Global Academic Leadership Program (GALP) is a collaborative initiative between CHED and AIM, designed as an online program to refine crucial leadership skills that address the challenges inherent in 21st-century education.

“The objective of this program is quite simple – we recognize that the challenges facing academic leaders in higher education are very broad and numerous. We want to capacitate our leaders both in the SUCs, as well as the CHED bureaucracy in the regions and central office so that they get the necessary skills needed as they address the concerns and demands of their stakeholders,” CHED Chair J. Prospero E. De Vera III’s message during the commencement of the 40-day course. The participants were exposed to transformative leadership concepts, frameworks, and principles to help them in their decision-making, problem-solving, and policy improvement. The first cohort began with the course on March 15, 2023, followed by Cohort 2 on April 5, Cohort 3 on April 26, and Cohort 4 on May 17.
