PANABO CITY – The Accrediting Agency of Chartered Colleges and Universities in the Philippines, (AACCUP) Inc. awarded Candidate Status to Davao del Norte State College’s Bachelor of Arts in Communication (BAComm), Bachelor of Science in Disaster Resiliency and Management (BSDRM), Bachelor of Science in Entrepreneurship (BSEntrep), Bachelor of Science in Information Systems (BSIS), Bachelor of Science in Social Work (BSSW), and Bachelor of Science in Tourism Management (BSTM).

The team responsible for assessing the programs comprised distinguished accreditors from various regions across the country and are as follows:

  • BA Communication Program – Dr. Von Bruun M. Pelletero from Negros Oriental State University;
  • BS Disaster Resiliency and Management Program – Dr. Rysheer Quiatchon Legaspi from Batangas State University;
  • BS Entrepreneurship Program – Dr. Marian Krishna M. Ruzgal from Aklan State University;
  • BS Information Systems Program – Dr. Rolaida L. Sonza from Nueva Ecija University of Science and Technology;
  • BS Social Work – Dr. Marciel Nabong Salvador from Occidental Mindoro State College; and
  • BS Tourism Management – Dr. Joana Marie M. Tayag from Cavite State University.

The programs demonstrated outstanding performance with results averaging within the range of 3.70 to 3.95. The results were consolidated and reviewed by the AACCUP Board of Trustees. This outcome affirms that the programs have successfully met the criteria for Candidate Status qualified for Level I Accreditation, valid until November 30, 2025.

With a promising future ahead, DNSC is poised to continue its trajectory toward continuous improvement in the quality of its undergraduate programs.
