PANABO CITY – The Province of Davao del Norte celebrated the 5th Commencement Exercises for the graduates of the Davao del Norte State College – Davao del Norte Learning Institute Special Adult Education program on August 28, 2024, at the DavNor Gymnasium in Tagum City.
Among the graduates, three earned their Master of Information Technology degrees, and three more completed the Master in Public Administration program, in consortium with the University of Southeastern Philippines. For the undergraduate programs, fifteen graduates were from the Bachelor of Public Administration, one from the Bachelor of Science in Disaster Resiliency and Management, and nineteen from the Bachelor of Science in Entrepreneurship.
The College Management Team, led by SUC President III Joy M. Sorrosa, attended the event. “We witness the impact of this program on the professional development and career growth of the graduates each year. Remember that success is not just about titles and positions; it is about continuous growth and making a positive difference,” President Sorrosa reminded the graduates.
Davao del Norte Provincial Governor Edwin I. Jubahib also delivered an inspiring message, “Take the responsibility to look beyond your own success and help others. Thank you for not giving up. Let my life offer inspiration. Coming from a poor family of farmers made me fully understand the value of toiling and sacrificing to achieve my dreams. My hunger for knowledge didn’t stop.”
The graduates were initially recognized during DNSC’s 46th Commencement Exercises on July 5, 2024. The DNSC-DNLI program is a collaborative effort between the province and the college, designed to offer a specialized curriculum for government workers who have yet to earn their degrees.
