
PANABO CITY — Davao del Norte State College (DNSC) represented the Philippines at theAsia Technological University Network International Staff Week 2025 (ATU-Net ISW 2025), hosted by Pampanga State University (PAMSU) from September 10–12, 2025.
DNSC International Mobility Officer Frincess Jade C. Cajano served as one of the panelists and workshop contributors during the event, which carried the theme “Holistic Approach to Internationalization and Staff Capacity Building”. The conference provided a platform for delegates to exchange insights on faculty mobility, intercultural competence, and global partnerships.
The program opened with a welcome parade and international ceremony that showed the unity of ASEAN and partner institutions. In her keynote address, Dr. Lora L. Yusi (duly represented), Regional Director of the Commission on Higher Education (CHED) Region III, emphasized that meaningful internationalization must go beyond rankings and prestige, focusing instead on inclusivity, relevance, and social impact.
One of the highlights was Panel Discussion 1: Sharing on Faculty and Staff Mobility and Exchanges, where Ms. Cajano represented DNSC alongside international delegates. She shared the College’s initiatives in faculty exchanges, collaborative research, and student mobility.
Day two focused on developing frameworks for collaboration through strategic workshops and discussions. Dr. Ain Naadia binti Mazlan of Universiti Teknologi Malaysia delivered a keynote on institutional visibility and global positioning. Participants then drafted proposals for collaborative mobility programs.
Networking sessions and intercultural workshops strengthened ties among delegates. The evening’s Cultural Night showcased Filipino heritage through performances by the PAMSU Chorale and student artists.
The final day featured the presentation of group outputs, including proposals for faculty exchanges, joint research, and intercultural training. These outputs reflected a shared commitment among ASEAN institutions to advance sustainability, inclusivity, and regional cooperation.
