PANABO CITY – The Davao del Norte State College Alumni Association, Inc. (DNSCAAI) took another step toward its vision of building a stronger alumni community with the turnover of school project initiatives from the Yearbook Editorial Boards and graduates of 2019, 2022, 2023, 2024, and 2025 in support of the Balay Alumni project.

The turnover ceremony was held on September 30, 2025 and attended by 2019 Editor-in-Chief Edison Polinar, 2022 Institute of Computing content contributor Philip Paja, 2019–2022 Moderator Czarina Nicole Lara Lanes, 2023 Editor-in-Chief Michael Puzon, 2025 Editor-in-Chief Rex Paring, 2025 Moderator Patrick Amper, and Student Development and Services Director Josiedel Santamaria. The donation was officially received by DNSCAAI Vice President Marilou Junsay, PhD, witnessed by Alumni Affairs Coordinator Samuel Plando.

During the brief program, Dr. Junsay shared the Alumni Association’s vision to establish a two-storey “Balay Alumni” Center, a dedicated space where DNSC alumni can gather, network, and collaborate on projects that promote lifelong learning and community development. Prof. Plando also expressed optimism that the groundbreaking ceremony for the center will take place by the end of the year.

In addition to the main turnover, the 2020 school project was also formally handed over to the Sapnay Program, consisting of 100 disaster sanitary packs ready to distribute in times of calamities or disasters.

The school project initiative has long been a tradition of graduating classes at DNSC, carried out through their Yearbook Editorial Boards, as a way of leaving a lasting legacy that contributes to the institution’s growth and community service efforts.
