PANABO CITY – The College of Davao (CCD) conducted a benchmarking activity at Davao del Norte State College (DNSC) on April 25, 2025, at 1:00 PM in the Research, Extension, and Production (REP) Conference Room.

The benchmarking aimed to explore and adopt leading practices in community extension services and the implementation of the Bachelor of Science in Entrepreneurship program. It was formally opened with welcome remarks from Dr. Eliseo F. Huesca, Jr., DNSC’s Vice President for REP.

Dr. Mariannie A. Rebortera led the presentation on DNSC’s extension activities, emphasizing sustainability and the value of stakeholder engagement. She highlighted successful collaborations with barangays, local government units (LGUs), and various national agencies.

Following this, Mr. James M. Jadraque, program chairperson, shared insights into DNSC’s BS Entrepreneurship program. His talk offered a comprehensive look at the program’s structure, academic strategies, and entrepreneurial support mechanisms that prepare students for innovation-driven ventures.

Representing CCD, Dr. Edroslyn J. Fernandez, Vice President for Academic Affairs, expressed gratitude for the warm reception and the wealth of information shared. “We are just really starting as an institution, so we have a lot of work to do,” she said. “The presentation was very specific and thorough. It gave us a clear idea of what needs to be done and how to do it. Thank you also for addressing all our questions, it was truly beneficial.”
