PANABO CITY – The Public Information Unit (PIU) of Davao de Oro State College (DDOSC) visited Davao del Norte State College (DNSC) for a benchmarking activity on August 28, 2025, at the Office of the Student Development and Services (OSDS) Conference Room.
The DDOSC team was led by Khif Muamar M. Miranda, PIU Head, with Ron Gerard A. Celada and Phel Mar B. Pardoña. DNSC was represented by Czarina Nicole Lara M. Lanes, Jumaw S. Buladaco, and Randy Magayon Jr.
Discussions centered on improving the unit’s access to information sources and strengthening the visibility component of Webometrics rankings to boost institutional digital presence. While Webometrics primarily measures open access and scholarly visibility rather than the effectiveness of marketing efforts, Public Information Units can still enhance visibility through search engine optimization strategies and efficient website management.
The exchange also underscored innovative practices in task management, proactive information gathering and dissemination, stakeholder-centered communication, and digital platform management.
