PANABO CITY – Davao del Norte State College (DNSC) served as the venue for the Department of Agriculture’s (DA) Young Farmers Challenge Program – Batch 2025 Intercollegiate Competition Information Caravan on September 16, 2025, held at the DNSC Audio-Visual Room.

The activity was open to all State Universities and Colleges (SUCs) and Local Universities and Colleges (LUCs) under the Philippine Association of State Universities and Colleges (PASUC). It gathered students, faculty, staff, and DA personnel to learn more about the nationwide program designed to empower youth in agribusiness.

The program aims to nurture student innovation by transforming their ideas into sustainable and profitable agribusiness ventures. At the heart of its mission is addressing the declining interest of young people in agriculture while highlighting their critical role in food security, rural development, and agricultural modernization.

By offering financial support and entrepreneurial opportunities, the DA envisions building a new generation of innovative and committed agri-fishery entrepreneurs who can bring fresh perspectives and solutions to the agricultural sector.
