PANABO CITY – The Professional Regulation Commission (PRC) announced that 1,005 out of 1,509 examinees passed the October 2024 Licensure Examination for Fisheries Professionals. Davao del Norte State College (DNSC) achieved an 84.62% passing rate, higher than the national average of 66.60%.

Jericho B. Maglinte ranked fifth among the topnotchers with a rating of 90.50%. The Board of Fisheries confirmed that the exam covered Aquaculture, Capture Fisheries, Aquatic Resources and Ecology, and Postharvest Fisheries.

Out of the College’s thirteen examinees, seven of the nine first-time takers and all four repeaters passed the exam. DNSC produced eleven newly licensed fisheries professionals. The examinees were alumni of DNSC’s Bachelor of Science in Fisheries and Aquatic Sciences (BSFAS) program.

The passers were Farrah Mae G. Alinton, Shella A. Dela Torre, April Karl L. Domogho, Annie Rose G. Lanoy, Rhona Mae R. Lanticse, Rogelio Jr. P. Laparan, Leah Mae B. Lecera, Ronel M. Ligan, Alexander Jr. L. Layos, Jericho B. Maglinte, and Vevencio Jr. O. Marquez.

The exam was held on October 10-11, 2024, at multiple venues in the National Capital Region, Baguio, Cagayan de Oro, Cebu, Davao, Iloilo, Koronadal, Legazpi, Lucena, Pagadian, Rosales, Tacloban, Tuguegarao, Zamboanga, and Palawan.
