Davao del Norte State College is Hiring!  

PANABO CITY – Davao del Norte State College (DNSC) completed its 3rd Quarter (123rd) and 4th Quarter (124th) BOT Meetings on December 4, 2025 at the OCDRA III Conference Room, CHED Central Office in Quezon City, with simultaneous participation via Zoom. The meetings were presided over by Commission on Higher Education (CHED) Commissioner and DNSC BOT Chairperson Desiderio R. Apag III, D.Eng., PCpE.

In-person attendees included BOT Vice-Chairperson Hon. Joy M. Sorrosa, DNSC SUC President III, and Hon. Samuel A. Plando, Faculty Trustee. Virtual participants included representatives of Hon. Loren Legarda, Chairperson of the Senate Committee on Higher, Technical, and Vocational Education, led by Hon. Kristoper Lanorias. Also present were Hon. Anthony C. Sales, Regional Director, Department of Science and Technology XI; Hon. Priscilla R. Sonido, Regional Director, Department of Economy, Planning, and Development XI; Hon. Juris D. Perez, Private Sector Representative; Hon. Glenne A. Lagura, Alumni Representative; and Hon. Rodney Jhon C. Gonzales, Student Representative.

The Board acknowledged the presence of resource persons; Assistant Solicitor General Justice James L. Cundangan and Dr. Maricar R. Casquejo, Regional Director of CHED XI.
During the proceedings, Chairperson Apag highlighted the ongoing implementation of CHED’s Digital Transformation Initiatives under his oversight, urging all State Universities and Colleges (SUCs) to fully adopt the streamlined systems now in place. Among these systems are SUC Profiling, the e-Agenda Folder, Referendum Filing, and the Travel Authority System.

A key highlight of the meeting was the approval of the reappointment of Hon. Janet D. Matuguinas as Private Sector Representative for a second two-year term. Her renewed service completes the roster of College Trustees, alongside Hon. De Carlo “Oyo” L. Uy, Davao del Norte 1st District Representative, representing Hon. Jude A. Acidre, Chairperson of the House of Representatives Committee on Higher and Technical Education.

Also in attendance were DNSC officials and support staff, including Mr. Jeremy B. Barnido, Board Secretary V; Ms. Khristine Liezle S. Arnilla, Board Secretary I; Ms. Amalia M. Caballero, Administrative Officer V; and Ms. Cora Mae E. Fuentes, Administrative Officer I from the Office of the College President.

A total of thirty-three (33) agenda items were discussed, approved, and confirmed during the two meetings. All items were aligned with the College’s Strategic Development Plan and its continuing aspiration to transition into the Davao del Norte State University.
