PANABO CITY – Davao del Norte State College (DNSC) exemplified its commitment to data privacy through a Training on How to Conduct a Privacy Impact Assessment (PIA) held on March 26, 2025, at the Gender and Development (GAD) Conference Room. The session gathered frontline personnel, faculty, and staff to address potential risks and ensure compliance with the Data Privacy Act of 2012.
“Your presence here reflects our shared commitment to safeguarding personal data and ensuring institutional resilience,” said Dr. Reir Erlinda E. Cutad, Vice President for Administration and Finance.
Led by DNSC Data Protection Officer Ian Jay T. Padios, the assessment covered key privacy measures, including data processing system registration, privacy notices, and governance policies. He also underscored the importance of reporting security incidents to the National Privacy Commission (NPC) and meeting the March 31 deadline for the Annual Security Incident Report.
The session concluded with a Q&A, addressing concerns on privacy policies and data governance.
