PANABO CITY — Two students from the Davao del Norte State College (DNSC) placed in the National Teacher Education Quiz Bee (NTEQ) 2026 – Provincial Qualifying Round held on March 3 at the Dr. Carl E. Balita Review Center (CBRC) in Tagum City.
Sharie Rose Truya, a Bachelor of Secondary Education major in Mathematics student, placed first in the provincial round and will represent Davao del Norte in the NTEQ National Finals scheduled on April 18 in Manila.
Another DNSC participant, Axel Ram Pagatpat, a Bachelor of Secondary Education major in Sciences student, placed fourth in the competition.
Both students were coached by Maiko H. Anicoy, a faculty member of the college’s Institute of Teacher Education.
Organized by the Dr. Carl E. Balita Review Center, the National Teacher Education Quiz Bee evaluates participants’ mastery of teacher education concepts and pedagogical competencies. The competition also tests critical thinking, decision-making, and professional interaction skills through various quiz rounds and related activities.
