Davao del Norte State College is Hiring!

PANABO CITY — Davao del Norte State College (DNSC) dedicated the third day of its 31st Charter Day and Kalibulung Festival to environmental action through a Couplet Initiative featuring a tree planting activity and a campus-wide clean-up drive on February 12, 2026, from 6:00 AM to 8:00 AM.

Employees began the morning in Brgy. Mabunao, Panabo City, where approximately 50 Yakal native trees were planted in coordination with the City Environment and Natural Resources Office (CENRO), through Mr. Recson B. Engalgado, Environmental Management Specialist II and Mr. Mario R. Paña, Senior Environmental Management Specialist. The activity aimed to contribute to local reforestation efforts while promoting the preservation of native species known for their ecological and economic value.

Simultaneously, another group mobilized within the DNSC campus to conduct a clean-up drive covering the perimeter fencing and adjacent roads. Volunteers collected and segregated waste, reinforcing the College’s commitment to responsible waste management and environmental stewardship.

The Couplet Initiative forms part of DNSC’s broader push for green and sustainable programs integrated into this year’s Charter Day celebration. Beyond festivity, the initiative reflects the institution’s growing emphasis on climate action, biodiversity conservation, and community responsibility.
