PANABO CITY — Student agripreneurs from Davao del Norte State College (DNSC) showcased their innovation and business acumen during the Young Farmers Challenge 2025 Intercollegiate Regional Competition, held at the AMAD Conference Room, Department of Agriculture–Regional Field Office XI, in Brgy. Bago Oshiro, Mintal, Davao City.
The competition, organized by the Agribusiness and Marketing Assistance Service (AMAS) in coordination with the Department of Agriculture offices and Marketing Assistance Divisions (AMADs), gathered student teams from higher education institutions across the region to present agri-based business models designed to strengthen youth engagement in agriculture.
Representing DNSC were students Daniela Asumbrado, Kate Dinny Lapasa, Nicole Angela Palban, Princess Angel Rocabo, and Ellen Joy Orbita, guided by their coach, James M. Jadraque, program chairperson of the Bachelor of Science in Entrepreneurship.
The DNSC team earned top recognition with their winning business concept, “The Fresh Roll”, which impressed evaluators for its creativity, sustainability, and strong market potential. Their victory secured a PhP 250,000.00 grant to support the development and implementation of the project.
