PANABO CITY – Harnessing the power of volunteerism and collective action in shaping a better future, Davao del Norte State College (DNSC) conducted a charity drive for elderly Persons Deprived of Liberty (PDLs) at the Davao Prison and Penal Farm (formerly DaPeCol) on February 12, 2025.

The initiative, spearheaded by the National Service Training Program and the Office of Executive Affairs, provided essential care kits to 300 elderly PDLs. These kits included detergent bars, toothbrushes, toothpaste, shampoo, body soap, adult diapers, and Vitamin B Complex.

The program was made possible through donations from faculty, staff, and students, along with proceeds from the Color Fun Run Activity. As part of DNSC’s 30th Charter Day Celebration, the initiative reinforced the institution’s commitment to community service and inclusive education, demonstrating its dedication to uplifting marginalized sectors and fostering meaningful change.
