PANABO CITY – Davao del Norte State College (DNSC) helped power Region XI to a 6th place finish in the 2025 National State Colleges and Universities Athletic Association (NSCUAA) Games, clinching three gold medals and the Ms. NSCUAA 2025 crown.

Held on April 22-27 in Camiguin, the national meet drew over 7,000 student-athletes from state universities and colleges across the country. DNSC made its mark with strong performances on the court and the stage.

Golds came from the Lawn Tennis Women’s Singles, and the Full Contact Padded Arnis – Women’s Heavyweight and Men’s Bantamweight categories. The Arnis team also bagged six bronze medals, while Taekwondo, Chess, and Table Tennis Mixed Doubles each added a bronze to the medal count. The E-Sports Men’s Team chipped in with one silver and one bronze.

Highlighting DNSC’s presence beyond athletics, Mhie Dainnie B. Chulani was crowned Ms. NSCUAA 2025, adding prestige to the region’s campaign.

Region XI, represented by DNSC along with six other SUCs, including Davao Oriental State University, University of Southeastern Philippines, University of the Philippines Mindanao, Davao del Sur State College, Southern Philippines Agri-Business and Marine and Aquatic School of Technology, and Davao de Oro State College, tallied 70 medals (19 golds, 17 silvers, 34 bronzes) to land in 6th place overall.

National Capital Region topped the medal standings with 272 total medals (149 golds), followed by Western Visayas, Central Luzon, Central Visayas, and Zamboanga Peninsula.

The games were hosted by Camiguin State Polytechnic College in partnership with the Provincial Government of Camiguin.
