PANABO CITY – The Human Resource Management Office (HRMO) of Davao del Norte State College (DNSC) conducted a comprehensive three-day orientation on November 13-15, 2024, at the DNSC Gender and Development (GAD) Conference Room to help new employees integrate smoothly into the college environment.
The program commenced with welcome remarks from Vice President for Administration and Finance, Dr. Reir Erlinda E. Cutad. This was followed by an in-depth discussion on Human Resource policies and processes, covering topics such as working hours, dress code, compensation classification, and leave administration, led by the HRMO.
The Quality Assurance Office provided insights into DNSC’s quality assurance practices, while the Finance Services Division explained relevant financial policies and procedures. Attendees were also introduced to various systems crucial for campus operations, including the Human Resource Information System, Supply Information System, Learning Management System, and the Integrated Academic Information System.
Topics on Data Privacy and Cybersecurity Awareness were also covered, alongside various DNSC PRAISE programs, such as Mental Health and Wellness, Faculty and Staff Scholarship, and Learning and Development initiatives. The orientation also detailed the Hiring, Recruitment, and Selection processes, as well as the Learning and Development framework.
The legal unit presented Republic Act No. 6713, known as the Code of Conduct and Ethical Standards for Public Officials and Employees, and discussed the Non-disclosure Agreement. The importance of the Citizen’s Charter process and the Strategic Performance System was also highlighted.
For the academic segment, the orientation included discussions on the conduct of undergraduate programs, academic policies related to the registrar’s office, and target setting for both non-teaching and teaching employees.
