DNSC lauds March 2026 LET Passers in “Pasalamat” Tribute Ceremony
June 24, 2026
PANABO CITY – Davao del Norte State College, through its Institute of Teacher Education, honored its alumni in the March 2026 Licensure Examination for Professional Teachers (LEPT) through Pasalamat: Tribute to the March 2026 Licensure Examination for Professional Teachers Passers on June 23, 2026.
In her message, DNSC President, Dr. Joy M. Sorrosa, congratulated the passers and reminded them of the responsibilities that come with the teaching profession, “The Institute of Teacher Education has long been a cradle of excellence, producing educators who bring honor and distinction to DNSC. You are our pride… Use your platform to educate and instill respect, honor, and integrity. Do not sell your integrity, despite any pressure. We may remain poor in the eyes of others, if that is how they choose to see us, but we must never compromise our integrity. Let us remain honest in all that we do.”
She urged the graduates to become positive influences in society by promoting unity, contributing to community well-being, and supporting their families and neighbors.
ITED Dean, Dr. Arnold M. Duping, challenged the passers to view their achievement not as an endpoint but as the beginning of a greater mission, “The destination was never the examination. Passing the LET is not the end of your story; it is the opening of a new chapter. Today, you leave this hall carrying a license, but tomorrow you will carry something far heavier: the dreams of Filipino children… In this digital age, a single post, an edited video, or a malicious comment on social media can tarnish years of honorable service and destroy reputations built with integrity. The teaching profession today is like a candle standing against strong winds. But remember this: the purpose of a candle is not to curse the darkness but to keep giving light despite it.”
Highlighting the Institute’s outstanding performance in the March 2026 LEPT, Vice President for Academic Affairs, Dr. Girley S. Gumanao, reiterated that ITED’s achievements are rooted in a sustained culture of excellence.
“The Institute of Teacher Education has been consistent through the years, producing passers and topnotchers for LEPT. This year alone, 179 first-time takers passed the examination, with two graduates earning spots among the topnotchers,” she said.
Dr. Gumanao stressed that the Institute’s success is not a matter of chance but the result of the combined efforts of students, faculty members, administrators, and support personnel who continuously work together to uphold quality teacher education.
The tribute program also featured inspirational messages from newly licensed teachers Dandel L. De Guia, LPT, Ian Joel M. Vertudes, LPT, Jelvieme C. Baguioso, LPT, Jessa O. Legaspino, LPT, and Rhealyn V. Geroche, LPT. Legaspino and Geroche were recognized for earning places among the topnotchers in the March 2026 LEPT.
The event was attended by the newly licensed professional teachers, faculty members, administrators, and guests in a celebration of academic excellence, perseverance, and the institution’s continuing legacy of producing quality educators.
