Davao del Norte State College is Hiring!

PANABO CITY — Davao del Norte State College (DNSC) participated in the Third Regular Meeting of the House Committee on Higher and Technical Education (CHTE) on November 18, 2025, at the RV Mitra Building, House of Representatives, Quezon City.

The committee conducted its initial deliberation on House Bill (HB) No. 1048, “An Act Establishing Campuses of Davao del Norte State College in the Municipalities of Asuncion and Talaingod, Province of Davao del Norte, and Appropriating Funds Therefor”, authored by Davao del Norte 1st District Representative De Carlo “Oyo” Lim Uy.

DNSC President Joy M. Sorrosa and Director for Executive Affairs Melissa G. Dalumay represented the College during the session. HB No. 1048 seeks to establish DNSC campuses in Asuncion and Talaingod to expand access to public higher education and offer programs responsive to local development needs.

If enacted, the measure is expected to improve educational accessibility, strengthen regional workforce development, and extend government higher education services to Indigenous Peoples (IP) communities and geographically isolated areas. DNSC has already operationalized a Talaingod campus, although its establishment has yet to be formalized through a Republic Act.

After the committee meeting, the DNSC delegation also performed a courtesy call to the office of Congressman Uy to further reinforce institutional collaboration and support.
