PANABO CITY – Davao del Norte State College (DNSC) demonstrated its excellence in teacher education after emerging as Top 8 Best Performing School Nationwide in the Licensure Examination for Professional Teachers (LEPT) for Secondary Level, as released by the Professional Regulation Commission (PRC).

Out of 79,493 examinees nationwide, 57,729 secondary teachers passed, posting a 72.62 percent national passing rate. DNSC stood out among higher education institutions with at least 100 examinees and a passing percentage of 90 percent or higher, recording a 95.77 percent overall passing rate.

Of the College’s 205 first-time takers, 200 passed, translating to a 97.56 percent performance rate. 4 out of 8 repeat takers passed the examination, equivalent to a 50 percent passing rate. In total, 204 out of 213 DNSC examinees passed the board exam.

Adding to the College’s achievement is Leonyl Glenniz S. Paradero, who placed Top 8 nationwide with a rating of 93.40 percent. A graduate of Bachelor of Secondary Education major in English, Paradero is the first topnotcher of DNSC from the BSED English program.
