The half-day engagement invited members of the College Management Team, process owners, delivery unit heads, internal quality auditors, and document control custodians. In her opening message, Dr. Ma. Melanie N. Edig, Director of the Quality Assurance Division, emphasized that ISO standards have become deeply embedded in the College’s identity, “ISO has already become our culture and way of life.”

The message of College President Joy M. Sorrosa, delivered by the Vice President for Research, Development, and Extension Eliseo F. Huesca Jr., echoed the same spirit of reflection and continuous improvement.

“Each audit is more than a procedural requirement; it is also a moment of reflection,” the message stated. “It helps us rediscover areas where growth is needed and affirm the practices that truly work.”

The President further encouraged participants to approach the audit process with integrity and professionalism, urging them to present data with honesty and humility. Feedback, observations, and even necessary corrections, she emphasized, should not be viewed as criticisms but as opportunities to strengthen systems and elevate the quality of service.

The ISO 9001:2015 + Amd 1:2024 framework focuses on risk-based thinking, organizational context, leadership engagement, and continuous improvement principles that align with DNSC’s strategic direction. The audit is scheduled to continue through February 27, 2026.
