
PANABO CITY – On August 28, 2025, Davao del Norte State College (DNSC) opened the doors to its new facility for the Blue Economy Underpinning Global Sustainability through Adaptive Innovations (BUGSAI) Technology Business Incubator (TBI).
Backed by the Department of Science and Technology–Philippine Council for Industry, Energy, and Emerging Technology Research and Development (DOST-PCIEERD), the space stands as a symbol of DNSC’s expanding efforts to champion innovation and sustainable solutions for the blue economy.
More than just a building, the facility offers a dedicated office, co-working hub, conference hall, and discussion room, designed to ignite collaboration, encourage dialogue, and inspire breakthroughs among innovators and industry partners.The occasion gathered the DNSC community, incubatees, and external stakeholders who shared in the celebration.
Delivering the message of gratitude on behalf of SUC President III Dr. Joy M. Sorrosa, Dr. Girley S. Gumanao, Vice President for Academic Affairs, highlighted the aspiration behind BUGSAI TBI, “The BUGSAI TBI project is a collective dream for a thriving blue economy, adaptive innovations, and sustainable future for Davao del Norte and beyond.
