
PANABO CITY – Auditors of Davao del Norte State College (DNSC) participated in the Internal Quality Audit Training held at the DNSC Audio-Visual Room on August 18–19, 2025. The training enhanced auditors’ knowledge and skills in line with ISO 19011:2018 or the Guidelines for Auditing Management Systems, an international standard for conducting effective audits.
In her opening message, Ma. Melanie N. Edig emphasized the training’s significance beyond compliance, “This training is not only about compliance; it is about building competence, confidence, and consistency in how we conduct our internal audits. By aligning with ISO 19011:2018, we are equipping ourselves with globally recognized principles and practices that guide transparency, accountability, and continuous improvement across all our programs and services.”
The sessions were facilitated by Vince Ellie B. Jaramilla, ISO consultant, who guided participants through the essential aspects of auditing management systems. The training covered key learning objectives, including understanding ISO 19011:2018, mastering the principles of effective auditing, preparing audits step by step, and identifying and explaining findings.
Participants also gained practical knowledge in writing accurate audit reports, ensuring post-audit improvements, integrating multiple audits, and developing the skills and behaviors expected of effective auditors.
