PANABO CITY – Hon. Samuel A. Plando, a senior faculty member of the Sciences Department of Davao del Norte State College, took his oath as the new faculty trustee to DNSC’s Board of Trustees (BOT) during its meeting on May 6, 2025.
The oath-taking ceremony was conducted online and was administered by DNSC BOT Chairperson and Commission on Higher Education Commissioner, Dr. Shirley C. Agrupis. Plando, who also serves as the president of the Faculty Association, will now represent the faculty in policy-making and institutional decisions as a member of the Board.
The virtual ceremony was witnessed by all members of the BOT, including College President Joy M. Sorrosa, who expressed her support and optimism for Plando’s term. His extensive academic background and leadership experience within the faculty were cited as assets that would greatly contribute to the governance of the institution.
