Davao del Norte State College is Hiring!

PANABO CITY – BINHI 2025, 4th Research Colloquium for Information Technology Education, unfolded via Zoom on June 2, 2025. The event brought together budding IT researchers from Davao del Norte State College (DNSC) and Davao Oriental State University (DORSU) in a joint academic undertaking.

With the theme “Seeding Innovation, Shaping Transformation: Research Frontiers in IT Education”, the virtual event provided a platform for presenting innovative research aligned with the Commission on Higher Education (CHED) Memorandum Order No. 25, Series of 2015, which requires a public forum for BSIT and BSIS theses or capstone projects.

Going beyond compliance, BINHI 2025 championed academic excellence and transformative research under its extended theme, “Promoting Student IT Education Research as Seeds for a Sustainable, FIRe-ready, and FIRe-proof Future”. The colloquium opened with a plenary session led by Dr. Andry Chowanda, Deputy Dean of the School of Computer Science at Binus University. Dr. Chowanda shared cutting-edge perspectives on artificial intelligence and emerging technologies, enriching participants’ understanding of the dynamic research landscape.

A total of 68 capstone project groups from DNSC and DORSU took center stage in seven clustered breakout sessions: E-commerce and Business Systems, Emergency, Health, Safety and Other Related Systems, Education Technology Systems, Emerging Technologies and Other IT Systems, Food IT Systems, Agriculture IT Systems, and E-Governance Systems. Each presentation was carefully evaluated by a panel of experts from academic institutions and government agencies across the region.
