PANABO CITY – The Internal Quality Audit (IQA) team of Davao del Norte State College attended a two-day IQA Training on January 15–16, 2026, held at the Gender and Development Conference Room.
In her opening remarks, Dr. Ma. Melanie N. Edig framed the importance of internal quality auditors, stating, “You are here to be refreshed on the necessary skills to effectively plan, conduct, report, and follow up on institutional quality audits.”
She emphasized that the training aligns with the requirements of ISO 9001:2015 and the auditing guidelines of ISO 19011:2018, which together form the backbone of auditing quality management systems.
The training was led by Ms. Joena Marie A. Martinez, DNSC’s IQA Lead Auditor, who served as the primary resource speaker. The agenda covered topics including the Requirements of ISO 9001:2025 + Amendment 1:2024 QMS, Internal Quality Auditing principles, various Audit Methods, and the development of an Audit Plan. Participants also received hands-on guidance on completing Audit Forms and were briefed on the Quality Objectives and Targets (QOT) and the Risk and Opportunity Management (ROM).
The workshop culminated in a session where all IQA participants presented their outputs, demonstrating the practical application of the training and their readiness for the forthcoming institutional audit.
