Panabo City – Representatives from Northern Bukidnon State College (NBSC) visited Davao del Norte State College (DNSC) for a benchmarking activity on the accreditation of Research Ethics Committee (REC) on March 17, 2025. Held at the DNSC GAD Conference Hall, the visit aimed to enhance NBSC’s research ethics protocols by learning from DNSC’s best practices.

DNSC President Dr. Joy M. Sorrosa welcomed the delegation, emphasizing collaboration in upholding ethical research standards. “Accreditation is never an easy journey, but through partnerships like this, we can support each other in achieving academic excellence,” she stated.

Prof. Sadie D. Law-ay, Chair of DNSC-REC, explained DNSC’s structured six-step research ethics process and its near-completion of Level 2 accreditation requirements. The discussion covered research fees, thesis panel protocols, and ethical considerations for studies involving vulnerable sectors.
