Participants included the DNSC Dance Troupe as well as representatives from Davao de Oro State College and the University of Southeastern Philippines. The program was divided into a training and workshop proper, culminating in a recital showcasing the skills and cultural expressions learned during the sessions.
In her message, College President Joy M. Sorrosa emphasized the importance of preserving cultural heritage, “As Filipinos, we are blessed with a rich tapestry of cultural dances and arts, each one a vibrant thread anchored in our unique cultural identity. These art forms are not relics of the past; they are the living soul of our nation. They remind us of where we come from and who we are. To keep them alive is to strengthen the very foundation of our national character.”
