PANABO CITY – To ensure student representation in decision-making, College President Joy M. Sorrosa officiated the oath-taking of the newly elected members of Davao del Norte State College’s Supreme Student Council (DNSC-SSC) for the Academic Year 2024-2025. The ceremony took place on June 14 at the DNSC Audio-Visual Room.

Rodney Jhon Gonzales will lead the council as its new president, with Charles Rance Fernandez serving as vice president. The senatorial slate includes Roi Vincent Julian, Franklin Amora, Leo John Lascuña, Kurt Jay Bongan, Barbie Villanueva, Jacky Lein Relatado, Junez Dhuke Del Carmen, Carl Archeer Superales, Jhon Carl Reyes, Mark Bernard Alavazo, Raffy Corpuz, and Kelvin Rufin.

The Institute of Leadership, Entrepreneurship, and Good Governance will be represented in the council by Randell Ursos, while Jezelle Capote will represent the Institute of Aquatic and Applied Sciences. Vince Keth Maarat is the designated representative of the Institute of Computing.

Student Organizations Coordinator Niño Joseph T. Fabia and SSC Adviser John Rae V. Duran were also present to witness the ceremony. In his inaugural speech, SSC President Gonzales highlighted several key points, including his commitment to student-centered leadership, the appointment of officers in the executive chamber, the implementation of income-generating projects, support for DNSC’s Project Sapnay, and the crafting of the university student council constitution and by-laws.
