PANABO CITY – Recognizing the growing importance of digital safety, the Gender and Development (GAD) Office of Davao del Norte State College (DNSC) included a Cybersecurity Seminar as part of its Women’s Month Celebration 2025. The event took place on March 14 at the DNSC Audio-Visual Room (AVR).

To lead the discussion, GAD invited Davao del Norte Provincial Coordinator Mark Dave Ponce and Provincial Support Staff Selwyn Kyle Clarido, who tackled cyber threats and strategies for online protection. Their talk focused on identifying digital risks, safeguarding personal data, and practicing responsible digital citizenship to help participants navigate the online world safely.

Engr. Octavio S. Guibelondo Jr., Provincial Officer, also introduced the eGov PH Super App, a mobile platform designed to streamline access to various government services. The app allows users to connect with agencies such as the Social Security System (SSS), PhilHealth, and the Government Service Insurance System (GSIS) through a unified interface.

By integrating cybersecurity awareness into Women’s Month activities, DNSC underscores the importance of digital safety and empowerment, ensuring that women are equipped to protect themselves in an increasingly digital society.
