PANABO CITY — The Office of the Vice President for Research, Extension, and Production (OVPREP) concluded a two-day Writing Retreat aimed at strengthening the research and extension productivity of Davao del Norte State College (DNSC). The activity was held on November 21–22, 2025, at Odyson’s Mountain Resort in Maragusan, Davao de Oro.
The retreat provided participating researchers and extension personnel with dedicated time and space to focus on the development and refinement of their proposals. The structured environment allowed attendees to work without distraction and advance their concepts into potential grant-ready submissions.
A key feature of the activity was the conduct of peer-review sessions, where participants received targeted feedback intended to improve the quality and competitiveness of their proposals. This process seeks to enhance the likelihood of securing both internal and external funding.
The retreat also served as a venue to reiterate the College’s strategic research, creative, and extension directions. Discussions focused on identifying gaps in knowledge and community needs to ensure that future proposals align with DNSC’s institutional priorities and contribute to regional development.
