PANABO CITY – The Bachelor of Public Administration (BPA) program, under Davao del Norte State College’s Institute of Leadership, Governance, and Continuing Studies (DNSC-ILEGG), held a stakeholders’ consultation on January 23, 2025, at the DNSC Gender and Development (GAD) Building Conference Room.
The consultation aimed to gather insights and feedback for the proposed revision of the BPA curriculum. It brought together a diverse group of participants, including Vice President for Academic Affairs Girley S. Gumanao, ILEGG Dean Florie Ann L. Fermil, BPA Program Chair Glenne B. Lagura, faculty members from ILEGG, representatives from the public and private sectors, BPA alumni, student representatives, and invited parents.
The proposed curriculum revision is set to retain approximately 73% of the components from the current curriculum while incorporating significant updates to align with industry and societal needs. Key enhancements include adherence to CHED Memorandum No. 6, Series of 2010, and CHED Memorandum No. 20, Series of 2013, benchmarking against international academic standards, and the integration of new subjects such as disaster management, urban planning, sustainable development, and foreign language.
