
PANABO CITY – Davao del Norte State College Faculty Association (DNSCFA) convened at Talan-awon Camping Site in Talaingod, Davao del Norte, on July 21-22, 2025, for a planning and fellowship meeting that culminated in the finalization of its Two-Year Faculty Development Plan covering February 2025 to February 2027.
The activity gathered faculty leaders and association members in an off-campus setting designed to foster dialogue, collaborative planning, and renewed commitment to the advancement of faculty welfare and institutional excellence. It served as a platform to firm up DNSCFA’s priorities, reinforce faculty unity, and set a clear course of action for the years ahead.
Anchored on the vision of: a united, empowered, and professionally enriched faculty community, the DNSCFA Two-Year Development Plan outlines strategic programs across six major focus areas: Collective Negotiation Agreement (CNA) preparation, faculty welfare and communication, academic excellence and professional development, pay equity and workload advocacy, organizational sustainability, and community extension.
Key initiatives under the plan include the accreditation of the association to the Department of Labor and Employment (DOLE) and Civil Service Commission (CSC), the renewal and reinforcement of CNA benefits, expanded wellness programs, intensified faculty engagement, mentorship for research and thesis writing, as well as advocacy for improved workload policies and timely compensation.
The officers also visited DNSC Talaingod campus and met with faculty members assigned under the Bachelor of Science in Agroforestry program.
