
PANABO CITY – Davao del Norte State College (DNSC) welcomed delegates from Camiguin Polytechnic State College (CPSC) on August 6, 2025, for a benchmarking activity. The visit formed part of the institutions’ commitment under a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU), which focuses on strengthening collaboration through the exchange of best practices and knowledge-sharing initiatives.
The visiting team from CPSC was composed of Dr. Malario B. Oclarit, SUC President; Ms. Michelle N. Lacierda, Chief Administrative Officer; and Mr. Kent Garcia, Human Resource Management Officer. They were received by DNSC’s key officials led by Dr. Joy M. Sorrosa, SUC President III, together with Dr. Reir Erlinda E. Cutad, Vice President for Administration and Finance; Dr. Eliseo F. Huesca Jr., Vice President for Research, Extension, and Production; Dr. Melissa G. Dalumay, Director for Executive Affairs; and Ms. Khristine Liezle S. Arnilla, Board Secretary I.
During the discussions, both institutions revisited the MOU earlier signed between DNSC and CPSC, which outlines joint initiatives on research, instruction, and extension services. The dialogue also highlighted DNSC’s unique programs and innovative undertakings, particularly the College Education Behind Bars (CEBB) program, the Davao del Norte Learning Institute (DNLI), and its academic offerings related to Disaster Resiliency and Management, Tourism, Marine Biology, Information Technology, and Agroforestry.
The CPSC delegates also inquired about DNSC’s board meeting operations, processes, and systems developed, such as the Human Resource Information System (HRIS). By opening its doors to benchmarking activities, DNSC continues to demonstrate its commitment to institutional development and its contribution to the growth of other higher education institutions in the country.
